BIR Training Center is looking to hire a few knowledgeable and professional ESL/TOEFL tutors, ASAP. The candidate will tutor students at one or more of our three campuses, and help maintain our ESL library/resource center, and Testing Center.

Someone with experience working in ESL field and/or working on a MA in Linguistics, TESOL or a related field is preferred. Experience tutoring is a big plus!!! In addition, a successful candidate needs to be personable, organized and adept at managing multiple tasks. Flexibility about hours and location is also a big plus.

We have 3 campuses, Devon, Belmont, and Loop. Hours listed below are approximates and open to some negotiation.

Immediate Needs:

A) Belmont Campus Needs

6240 W. Belmont, Chicago IL, 60634

-Several mornings/afternoons per week.

-Desired Range of Hours 10am–5:30pm.

Loop Campus Needs

828 S. Wabash, Chicago, IL 60605

- PT (24+ hrs), potentially FT (38+ hrs) to work at our downtown campus

-Desired availability – 3 to 4 weekdays 9:30am -6:30pm, 1 weekend day

Devon Campus Needs

3601 W. Devon, Chicago IL, 60659

-Weekend mornings and early afternoons—both Sat. and Sunday if possible

-Desired availability: 8:30am – 3pm

Salary

PT Salary: $12 – 14/hr depending on qualifications.

FT salary and benefits: To be negotiated
