Harper College is currently seeking candidates for two full time tenure track English as a Second Language (ESL) Faculty position. We anticipate filling this position for the Fall 2008 semester. The successful candidate must be able to teach Academic ESL at a variety of levels in the skill areas of reading, writing, listening/speaking and grammar. Desirable candidates will be creative and collaborative.   

 

Requirements:

• Must have at least a Master's degree in linguistics/TESOL

• Three to five years of experience teaching English as a Second/Foreign Language for academic purposes in higher education in the United States

• Experience in teaching English for Specific Purposes and teaching Linguistics is a plus

• Knowledge and experience in using Blackboard and media-enhanced classroom technology are also a plus
