Teach in the public school system in Abu Dhabi! Teach Away is looking for motivated and experienced public school teachers to participate in education reform in the Middle East. The education system is being revamped to create a more student centred learning environment. In addition, the language of instruction is being changed from Arabic to English for English, Math and Science.

These lucrative two year contracts are for Certified Teachers ONLY.

Interviews

All candidates must attend in-person interviews in New York City between December 12th and 14th.

Job Details

Student Level: Primary; Gr 1 and Gr 2

Monthly Salary:

12,300-20,400AED, depending on experience and credentials (approx. $4000-$6300CAD or $3350-$5500USD)

Number of Vacancies: 50

School Type: Public

Contract Duration: 2 years

Number of Students: 20-30 per class

Number of Foreign Teachers: 3-5 teachers per school

Working Hours: 35-40 hours/week, 5 days a week

School Hours: 7:30am-2:00pm

Vacation:

Usually from mid-June until mid-August;

plus all National holidays

Qualifications: Native English speaker, bi-lingual preferred

Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree

Teaching certification

Minimum 2 years of teaching experience at the primary level preferred
