Illinois Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages/Bilingual Education (ITBE) invites all professionals that engage with our Multilingual student population and families to submit proposals for our annual Fall Workshop. The workshop will take place virtually on October 17 from 9:00AM- 3:00PM.
This year’s theme is Forward Together: Innovating, Connecting, and Inspiring Multilingual Education. Presenters and attendees are encouraged to expand their skill sets as they envision the future of multilingual education. ITBE is looking for proposals on a plethora of topics and content areas that help address issues all across the field. We invite proposals related to all aspects of ESL/EAP/IEP/CALL/EFL, best practices for instruction, materials development, program administration, teacher training, assessment, classroom management, research, technology, SEL (social emotional learning), and anything else that helps your students grow and excel in the classroom.

Chosen presenters will be presenting live virtually via Zoom. All accepted presenters must register to attend the virtual workshop which takes place on October 17, 2026. Specific details will be included with your proposal acceptance emails this fall.
